Labor One is hiring Journeyman Shipfitters in San Diego, California.
- Expected Long-Term Project.

Job Requirements:
- 3-5 years of recent shipyard experience.
- Must be able to work any shift and overtime, if required.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be DBIDS eligible.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
Shipfitter Knowledge:
- Welding, tacking, burning and scarfing.
Must pass the following Shipfitter Welding Assessment:
Fillet weld plates:
- 2F 3F 4F (VT test).
- Fillet testing shall take 1-2 hours.
- T Bar 12X4” 3/8” thick:
- ·2F 3F 4F (VT and Fracture test ).
- This takes average ship fitter of 1-2 days.
- Must comprehend written and verbal instructions (in English).
- Must be able to hear warning signals, read and comprehend safety instructions, regulations and warnings.
